The 21st edition of the International Half Marathon of Brazzaville will take place on 14 August 2026 on Boulevard Alfred Raoul. SMIB brings together Congolese, African and international youth around the values of sport, unity and self-transcendence.
Registrations close in
Each year SMIB brings together several thousand runners for a unique sporting experience in the heart of Brazzaville. With around 4,000 registrants on average and an estimated 30% female participation, the event confirms its role as a major event on the Congolese and regional sports calendar.
From the run for development to the crossing of the capital's iconic monuments, SMIB is an approved route and the energy of a pan-African youth.
Boulevard Alfred Raoul, Nabemba Tower, Sainte-Anne Basilica, Brazza Memorial, People's Palace — 21.1 km through the most iconic streets.
Kenyan, Ethiopian, Congolese, Moroccan elites. Amateurs from 38 countries. SMIB brings together African and international youth around shared values.
Thanks to the high patronage of H.E. Denis Sassou Nguesso and SNPC, registration remains entirely free. Bib, finisher medal, refreshments included.

SMIB 2026 invites participants to discover Brazzaville along an emblematic route — a sporting experience that is challenging, accessible and festive. Start and finish on Boulevard Alfred Raoul, the heart of the event.
